Annie is right...
Friday Five does help make longer entires. This weeks seems all about the history of my online logging/journaling. So here goes...
begin Friday Five
1. How long have you had a weblog? I've had some sort of weblog, online diary, or journal for about as long as I've been online. I used to keep an webpage on my AOL space back when I was like 17. Damn... I just realized that I've been online for over 6 years now. God I feel old.
2. What was your first post about? I'm not sure, but more than likely it was about not wanting to go to school.
3. How many changes (name, location, etc.) of your weblog have there been, if more than one? It's been on AOL, Geocities, Opendiary (and for no reason at all, Freeopendiary), Deadjournal, PITAS, and now Blogspot. It's gonna through a lot of names, starting with the imaginative "Bobby's Diary". I was a 15 year old girl when I was 17, so excuse me. I think I change layouts more often that I post. As you can tell by the number up there in the corner, this is Version 7 of SSDD (or S+S+D+D, I could never decide on one or the other). That doesn't include the SSDD that was on PITAS. There've been several versions that never saw the light of day. If I included those, we'd probaly be at SSDD 15. I'm currently (not) hard at work on Version 8.
4. What CMS (content management system) do you use? Do you like it or do you want to try something else? Right now, It's Blogger, which is obvious because I'm posting to Blogspot. I'm planning to get my own domain and hosting soon. After I do that, I'm pondering
Greymatter which runs many a site (Like Nessa's
Lambent.org) or maybe
Moveable Type which powers
Wil Wheaton's site. Of course, I could always just do it all in notepad... I wonder if they have a "I Blog With NOTEPAD.EXE" banners and buttons?
5. Do you read people who have both a journal and a weblog? Or do you prefer to read people who have all of their writing in one central place? I'm not sure I've read many people who keep both. I'm not sure if I really see the point. But, if they're good... I'm goint to read them. Simple as that.
End Friday Five
At around 4am yesterday (friday) I got up and cleaned the bathroom. These people are slobs. Did some laundry and watched a little TV. I made some chocolate bath fizzies and took a bath. I listened to the new Tori songs (Favorites: Gold Dust & Taxi Ride). I sat in there and read my book. That's right... Tori Amos AND Star Trek. I soaked for about a half hour and then went to bed. I slept on and off all day. I just wasn't feeling good. My leg is killing me again... but at least it's REALLY clean. The spot on my leg is less big around than a quart now. I'm so happy!
I've also lost about 7 lbs so far. Not much for being on the diet about 2 weeks now, but I'm still happy. I keep having days where I'll want to eat everything in the house and other days where I'll not want to eat at all. Like today... I had a Slimfast at 6am, one at 3pm, and my sensible dinner was a bowl of cereal at 3:30am today.
